Martial Arts for Children
We also offer Ninjutsu training for primary school aged children in Thornbury and Brunswick Melbourne . All of our programmes are age appropriate, meaning that we teach different versions of techniques to each age group. There is No sparring for Ninja Stars ( 5 -7 years) and Samurai Warriors (8 - 12 yrs). For these age groups there is also a large emphasis on Character Development and good behaviour
at home and at school. Half way thru grade 6 we move all eligible students up to our high school programme where there is pressure testing and sparring.
Ninja Stars
Our Ninja Star (5 - 8 yrs old) programme is a great introduction to
Martial Arts, about 80% martial arts, 10% Scouts and 10% Gymnastics
it is a well rounded gross motor skills development class with an
emphasis on good behaviour at home and at school.
Our Ninja Star children develop a solid foundation in basic martial arts skills without the emphasis on tournements and sparring. Our Dojo's programmes have won international Martial Arts awards for excellence and we are very proud to say that many students that started training in the Ninja Stars programme are now training with the Adults classes over 10 years later. |

Samurai Warriors
The Samurai Warrior (8 - 12 yrs old) classes are self defence focused based on a strong foundation of basic martial arts. We introduce a lot more controled partnered training so students can work on distance and timing in a safe learning environment.
Many of our Samurai Warriors go on to achieve their Junior Black Belt and during the last year of primary school we move them up to our Junior Adults (high school) programme. Our high school programme takes the training on to a new level of fitness, physical application and technical development. It is an age appropriate, self defence based martial arts training class. |
Free Beginners Course
We also offer a Free Martial Arts Beginners Course so you can come along and try out the classes without having to make a decision to join or not on the night. We prefer you to come in a few times over a week or two so you have plenty of time to talk to your children about the training before you make any decisions. Martial Arts is not like playing soccer or football, which are seasonal, it's more like learning an instrument, it takes time, pratice and patience....... it's an education, not just an activity.
